Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

A WELL-RECALIBRATED CAMERA CAN SAVE LIVES

Today’s car has significantly more technology than the one you drove ten years ago and, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (otherwise known as ADAS) can be found in a growing number of vehicles. This is true for all makes and models combined. In addition, ADAS systems greatly contribute to improving your safety as well as other road users.

RECALIBRATING THE CAMERA IS KEY

Most Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) operate, among other things, using a camera located on the windshield behind the rearview mirror. When you replace your windshield, it’s important to have your camera recalibrated by experts, according to the manufacturer’s standards. It’s a matter of safety.

Did you know that most Canadian insurers now cover camera recalibration costs along with windshield replacement claims?

5 ADAS-RELATED FEATURES

Forward automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and lane keeping assistance are made possible in part by a well-recalibrated front camera that lets your vehicle interact safely with the road environment.
