When a vehicle rolls over or when it crashes head-on, the windshield is largely responsible for keeping the vehicle’s structural strength as it makes up to 30% of its structure. On top of that, the windshield allows for the airbags to be properly deployed to make sure the passengers are protected. A brand-new, well-installed windshield helps the vehicle regain its structural strength. It’s something that should not be overlooked.

Unfortunately, no. The appearance of the chip will become greatly improved, however it will never be 100% gone.

There are many factors that affect the duration your vehicle will take but on average it takes about an hour and a half before you can safely drive your vehicle again.

Annealed – aka Float glass, is your standard single pane of glass. It comes in various colours and thicknesses for use in picture frames, as shelving, or we stock 2mm, 3mm and 6mm clear as well as some tinted and textured varieties.

Laminated glass – 2 layers of normal glass with a layer of plastic in between. This safety glass is used in windshields and machinery. We stock ASI and ASII laminated glass in clear and green tint.
Tempered glass – a single piece of glass that has been heat treated to withstand greater impact but if broken will crumble into thousands of little chunks. It is commonly found as door glass and in motor homes.
It must be custom ordered.
Specialty – We also stock ceramic glass for fireplaces/wood stoves, wired glass for entry systems and various forms of plexiglass.
What is commonly known as plexiglass is actually the cheapest form of plastic polycarbonate sheeting. Plexiglass is fairly brittle and susceptible to UV, however still has many practical uses. Lexan is a much more durable form of clear plastic that can withstand a large amount of impact and is flexible and UV resistant. This is our most used polycarbonate product. Marguard is a Lexan like product that also has a scratch resistant coating, sometimes used for machinery windows and side-by-sides.  We typically stock 1/8” and 1/4” of each product.

We do not require a deposit for standard jobs. Accepted form of payment include cash, debit, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and E-Transfer.
